A Message from the OFA Team Tower Grove:
Last week we wrapped up our voter registration
efforts and we certainly did it with style. Not only did we register over
44,000 voters state-wide, but our efforts are being hailed as historic. There
is no way we could not have made that happen without each and every one of you
stepping up to the plate. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
As we transition into our GOTV (Get Out the
Vote) efforts this week, we are calling on you once again to help us make
history in Missouri. After losing in 2008 by less than 4,000 it is more
important than ever that we run a successful GOTV campaign. Aside from the week
of the election, this week is the most important week of the campaign. Our core
team members will be attending training for GOTV, our door knocking efforts
will begin and we will have our GOTV dry run this weekend. As someone that
steps up to volunteer when it really matters, I know that you will want to be a
part of this important and exciting effort.
This week we will also have the chance to watch
the debate together again. However, we are going to take it a step further and
have a working watch party. Join us at the office on Tuesday at 5:00 PM for
door-knocking in Tower Grove South neighborhood followed by a debate viewing
party at our office. Feel free to bring your friends, family and comfy chairs.
Then please join us again on Saturday October 20th and Sunday Oct 21st for our GOTV Dry Run. If you are planning on volunteering on Election Day, please plan on volunteering this weekend. This is the best way for our team to see what works, what doesn’t and what we need to improve on prior to Election Day.
Another important piece of information, our
office will be open from 9 AM – 9 PM nearly every day moving forward. If you
haven’t been by yet, stop in for a tour. We are located at 3121 South Grand.
After this weekend we will be knocking doors and making calls every day until
the election. Those shifts are already posted in Dashboard to help you plan
your schedule moving forward. If you are interested in being a volunteer on our
office staff team, please contact Bree at breebowen7@gmail.com.
If you haven't yet joined dashboard, please
click the link included in this email and join today. It's hands down the best
tool available for building our team and staying on top of all of our volunteer
activities. Here are some important pieces of information:
·
After you have joined
Dashboard Bree, our neighborhood team leader, will make you a team member. This
will generate a message that says "you've been promoted." Many people
have been confused by this message. All it means is that we have granted you
more access on the page. If you have any further questions, just let me know.

This Week's Volunteer Events:
This week's volunteer events are below with the
available shifts in parenthesis. Please visit Dashboard ( https:// dashboard.barackobama.com/ teams/841299-team-tower-grove ) to see all of the events happening in our area. If
any of the links to the RSVP are broken, you can email me directly to confirm
your commitment.
If you don’t see events, you can always search
