August 2nd Primary Election - 15th Ward Dems Sample Ballot

I have received a number of calls and emails today from 15th Ward voters expressing confusion over a mailing they received that included a sample ballot. The mailing includes a letter of support for a candidate for State Representative.

Voters expressed confusion over whether the sample ballot included with the mailing is the one they normally receive from the 15th Ward Democrats -- our open, democratic ward organization. It is not.

The 15th Ward Democrats will be delivering voter guides (which include the list of candidates endorsed by the 15th Ward Democrats) to doors this weekend and will distribute sample ballots - as is our normal tradition - on Election Day at the polls. For clarification, I have included a picture (below) of the official sample ballot listing the endorsements made by the full, eligible voting membership of the 15th Ward Democrats.

For additional information about the 15th Ward Democrats or to read the candidate questionnaires submitted by all democratic candidates on the ballot, please visit us at www.15thward.org.

We hope to see you at one of our upcoming meetings!! We list meetings on our website as well our Facebook page and welcome any and all democrats in the 15th Ward to join us. Trying to incorporate aspects of policy, politics and a little fun, we have a number of different kinds of events throughout the year -- from parties to membership meetings, candidate forums and more. There's something for everyone, and we always welcome new people to join our active and engaged membership.

Sincerely,
-Tod A. Martin
