Ward by ward results - great turnout in the 15th Ward!

The ward by ward results from Tuesday's election have been posted (link below). All 14 candidates endorsed by the 15th Ward Democrats carried the 15th ward including those who won the citywide vote (Jason Kander, Chris Koster for Governor, Russ Carnahan, Robin SmithPat ContrerasLacy Clay, Vernon Betts for Sheriff, Tishaura O. Jones), those who lost the citywide vote (Jake Zimmerman, Patrick Hamacher) and non-citywides endorsed by the 15th Ward Democrats (Jamilah Nasheed, Peter Merideth, Tod A. Martin - Democratic Committeeman, 15th Ward, Torrey Park for 15th Ward Committeewoman). Great work by our members with literature drops, social media, speaking with neighbors and supporting our endorsed candidates! Thank you everyone. And, congratulations to all of the candidates who stepped up and ran for office!

In terms of turnout percentage, we came in 5th highest of the 28 wards, just behind perennial heavyweight wards 16th Ward Democrats8th Ward Dems STL, 28th Ward Regular Democrats, and St Louis 23rd Ward news. That's a big improvement from when we used to fall in the middle of the pack. While it was driven in part due to the focus on specific races in our ward, it follows a trend we have seen over the past 10 years of increasing turnout in the 15th Ward. We were 5 percentage points above the citywide turnout number. We're 9th highest in terms of registered voters and clearly have some additional room for improvement there.

Now, we're on to November and working to elect as many Democrats as possible up and down the ballot, especially at the national and statewide level!
